Chinese President Xi Jinping (6th R) met with members of the United States Congress including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and leaders of several Senate and House committees, on Capitol Hill in Washington DC on September 25, 2015 as part of his official state visit to the United States. During his visit, President Xi commended the legislative bodies of both the United States and China for their support in advancing relations between China and the United States.  

 

The US-China Transpacific Foundation (UCTPF) assisted in coordinating the meeting between President Xi Jinping and leadership of the United States Congress.
