Mr. Yang Jiechi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Central Committee, Met with US-China Track Two High-level Exchange US Delegation
Mr. Yang Jiechi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Central Committee met with US-China Track Two High-level Exchange US delegation, led jointly by Mr. Joseph Lieberman, former senior US Senator and Amb. Sigmund Rogich, Chairman of UCTPF, at Zhongnanhai on September 18th, 2019.
Mr. Yang and the US Track II delegation exchanged views on establishing US-China mutual trust and promoting US-China bilateral relations. Both agreed that the United States and China should abandon confrontation and conflict, evade strategic misjudgment to achieve win-win cooperation. Mr. Yang also believed the result of this High-level Track II exchange could be brought back to US to play a positive role in leading future cooperation between the two nations in various fields. This will enable US-China to build and enhance mutual trust and to promote all-rounded development of friendly relations between the two nations.
Wang Chao, President of CPIFA and Zheng Zeguang, Vice Foreign Minister attended the meeting.
